"Recognizing and Serving the Women, Men, and Youth Bowlers of Badwin County"

KeglerKorner.com is the website offered by your local USBC Association as a service to the bowlers ("keglers") in Baldwin County.

"Kegler" is a term with an ancient history. Historians trace the game of bowling back to the Stone Age. That conjures up images of Fred Flintstone on the lanes, but way back then it was actually a medieval version of today's game that gave us the word "kegler".  In medieval Germany, the game was practiced as a test of religious faith. The "Kegel" (bowling pin) represented a heathen, and those who could topple it with a round stone proved that they were worthy of redemption. "Kegel" gave English the nouns "kegling" ("bowling") and "kegler" ("bowler") and in German the verb "kegeln" means "to bowl".

This website is designed for the purpose of providing our bowling community with a convenient, informative source and ready reference about activities, events, and special interest items.  There will also be featured cameos and profiles of the bowlers themselves.  A variety of other interesting and useful bowling related topics are included that are intended to help make the bowling experience for Baldwin County bowlers more enjoyable.
